Jacob Rafael Murillo

He wasn't always the guy on stage. He was the overweight kid with a liver disease who didn't know what his body was capable of — until education changed everything.

Growing up, Jacob was diagnosed with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease — overweight, undermuscled, and like most people, without any real framework for understanding what his body needed. What turned things around wasn't a program or a quick fix. It was education. Once he understood how movement, nutrition, and recovery actually worked together, everything changed.

He started coaching at 19 and hasn't stopped — not because it's a job, but because watching someone reclaim their health and quality of life never gets old. Over a decade in, it still doesn't feel like work. That's how he knows it's a calling.

Today Jacob competes as a natural professional bodybuilder with the NFF, has placed top 3 in his age group in multiple half marathons and 10Ks, and finished the San Antonio Marathon in the top 7% of 3,427 finishers (236th overall). He builds bodies that aren't just aesthetically pleasing — but athletically capable.

Not at all. Some of my best transformations started with clients who had never set foot in a gym. The assessment is designed to meet you exactly where you are — no judgment, no assumptions. The only requirement is that you're ready to be consistent.
In-person training is hands-on — we train together, I correct your form in real time, and we use my equipment including the InBody scanner for regular check-ins. Online coaching gives you a fully custom program, nutrition guidance, weekly check-ins, and direct access to me via messaging. Both get you the same level of personal attention. The difference is location and format.
It's a full hour with me. We run an InBody body composition scan so you know your exact body fat percentage, lean muscle mass, and metabolic data — and you keep those results. We go through a movement and strength screen, review your nutrition habits, and map out your goals with a realistic timeline. You leave with real data and a clear direction. No sales pitch, no pressure.
Apps give you programs built for someone else. I build yours around your body, your movement patterns, your schedule, and your life. I also teach you the why behind everything — so eventually you understand fitness well enough that you don't need to rely on anyone, including me. That's the goal.
Most clients notice changes in energy, sleep, and how they feel within the first 2–3 weeks. Visible physical changes typically show up between weeks 4–8 depending on consistency, starting point, and goal. I won't promise a timeline that isn't realistic — but I will tell you that the clients who follow the plan and check in consistently always get there.
Yes. Nutrition coaching is available as a standalone service. As a Sports Nutrition Specialist, I build sustainable plans around your lifestyle — not restrictive diets that fall apart after two weeks. If you're already training somewhere else but need help with your nutrition, I can work with you on that alone.
I'm based in San Antonio, Texas. In-person training and assessments are available locally. Online coaching is available to clients anywhere in the world.
